Privacy

Private by default, local-first by design.

HushNote is built to keep recording, transcription, and review close to the device. Privacy is part of the product structure, not a late disclaimer.

Local-first runtime

On-device is the default path.

The app is designed around on-device recording, live transcription, and summaries so the normal workflow can stay offline and close to your iPhone.

Cloud summary is optional

You choose if a third-party model is involved.

If you turn on cloud summary, transcript content and summary prompts are sent to the provider you configure. HushNote does not require that path.

No relay backend

Your API key is not routed through a HushNote server.

The app does not run its own backend to proxy your requests or host your API key for cloud summary.

No account wall

You do not need to register before recording.

The app is not built around profiles, team seats, or account data collection before you can start using the core workflow.

Practical reminder
